BUSHIDO
This collection is a manifestation of the warrior spirit that transcends time, drawing parallels between the disciplined life of the Samurai and the rigorous practice of BJJ. Bushido, often translated as "the way of the warrior," encompasses virtues that resonate deeply with the philosophy and practice of BJJ, making this collection a bridge between two warrior traditions.
THE CONCEPT:
- Rectitude (義 Gi): Moral and ethical correctness, akin to the honor and respect shown in BJJ through sportsmanship.
- Courage (勇 Yuu): Facing fear with bravery, much like stepping onto the mat against a formidable opponent.
- Benevolence (仁 Jin): Compassion towards others, mirrored in the care and support practitioners show one another in training.
- Respect (礼 Rei): Fundamental in both Samurai culture and BJJ, where bowing to partners and instructors is a daily ritual.
- Honesty (誠 Makoto): Sincerity in one's actions, reflecting the integrity with which every BJJ practitioner should approach their craft.
